New Vehicles: A vehicle which is previously untitled, is still under the complete manufacturer’s warranty, is less than 12 months old and has an odometer reading of less than 12,000 miles
Pre-Owned Vehicles: Any vehicle which cannot be classified as New. Maximum vehicle age is current +9 model years. Maximum odometer is 90,000 miles.
Coverages:
- Powertrain Lifetime Loyalty Program – 9 Years from the in-service-date and/or 0-90,000 miles at time of sale.
- 90 days and 3,000 miles must elapse from the odometer reading at the date of Lifetime Certificate issuance to the eligible for repair. Failures that occur within the first 90 days and 3,000 miles are not covered.
- Certificate must be issued at time of vehicle sale.
- Term months are added to vehicle sale date and term mileage is unlimited.
Models of generally acced make are introduced from time to time. Please contact NAC for information regarding proper classification of these vehicles. - Model Year Eligibility changes on January 1 of the New Year.
IneligIble Vehicle Makes (Including but not limited to):
Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, Ferrari, Fisker, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lotus, Maserati, McLaren, Nobel, Pagani, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Rolls-Royce, Saab, Tesla, VW, Mercedes, Audi.
Vehicles excluded from coverage
- Any Vehicle not issued a 17 character VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) from the Manufatrurer of origin.
- Vehicles modified from the original manufacturer’s specifications are not eligible.
- Trucks, Utility Vehicles Vancs may not exceed one ton rating.
- No vehicles equipped with Rotory Engines.
- No limited production vehicles.
- No High Performance Vehicles (*see dealer for details)
- No vehicles that have been issued a branded title. Including but not limited to: salvage, salvage/refundalbe, salvage theft, assembled, dismantled, scrap, fire, flood, physical damage.
- No “grey market”, “lemon law” or “kit car” vehicles.
- No commercially used or commerical vehicle types, Including but not limited to:
Passenger: Ambulance, Cab & Chasis, Hearse, Incomplete Passenger, Limousin.
Truck: Ambulance, Armored Truck, Auto Carrier, Bus, Cargo Cutaway, Cutaway, Flat Bed/Platform, Forward Control, Gliders, Hearse, Incomplete Shassis, Incomplete Ext Van, Incomplete Passenger, Limousine, Motorized Cutaway, Parcel Delivery, Stake or Rack, Step Van, Tandem, Tilt Cab, Tilt Tandem, Tractor Truck (Gas) Tractor Truck (Diesel)
Commercial Use is defined as: any vehicle used for the purpose of livery, farming or ranching, pushing, pulling or hauling material of any kind, snow plow usage, route work, job-site activities, service or report work, has been issued commericial plates in the state in which it is titled, or advertises a commercial enterprise with signage on said vehicle. (Revocable Trust are eligible) - No vehicles owned by or used by a government entity, agency, or municipality.
- No competitively driven vehicles
- No RV’s / Motorhomes
- No EV (Electric Vehicles) or EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) see below. Vehicles defined as “hybrid” are accepted.
Ineligible Electric Vehicles (including but not limited to):
Tesla, Chevy Bolt, Volt & Spark EV, Cadillac ELR, Mitsubishi iMiev, Nissan Leaf, BMW i3 & i8, Ford Focus EV, Kia Soul EV, Smark ED EV, Toyota Rav4 EV, VW e-Golf, Honda FCX.
